By accessing or using Weered (weered.ca), operated by Weered Technologies ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Weered. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that we reasonably believe violate this requirement.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not share, sell, or transfer your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our sole discretion for any violation of these terms or our Community Guidelines.

"User Content" includes any text, images, audio, video, screen shares, or other material you transmit through Weered, including messages, forum posts, voice/video communications, and screen sharing sessions.

• You retain ownership of your User Content.
• By posting or transmitting User Content, you grant Weered a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.
• You represent that you have the right to share any content you transmit and that it does not infringe on any third party's rights.
• We do not pre-screen User Content but reserve the right to remove any content at our sole discretion.

Weered offers real-time video chat and screen sharing features within rooms. By using these features:

• You are solely responsible for any content you share via video or screen share, including but not limited to copyrighted material, personal information, or sensitive content.
• You must not share, stream, or display copyrighted content (films, TV shows, music, software) that you do not have the rights to distribute.
• You must not share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
• You must not share content depicting minors in any inappropriate context.
• Weered does not record video or screen sharing sessions. However, we cannot prevent other participants from recording their own screens.
• You acknowledge that video and screen sharing occur in real-time and Weered cannot moderate live content before it is seen by other participants.

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws
• Harass, threaten, impersonate, or intimidate other users
• Share content that exploits or harms minors in any way
• Distribute spam, malware, phishing links, or deceptive content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or platform infrastructure
• Circumvent or interfere with security features of the platform
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers without express permission
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of Weered or third parties
• Share or stream copyrighted content you do not have rights to distribute
• Use video chat or screen sharing to expose others to illegal, obscene, or harmful content

Weered integrates with third-party services including but not limited to Bungie (Destiny 2), Riot Games (League of Legends), Twitch, and various sports data providers. These integrations are subject to the respective third party's terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content provided by third-party APIs. Your use of linked third-party accounts (e.g., Bungie OAuth, Riot Sign-On) is subject to those platforms' terms.

Weered may offer paid subscription tiers with additional features. Payments are processed through Stripe. Subscription terms, pricing, and cancellation policies will be presented at the time of purchase. All fees are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on Weered infringes your copyright, please contact us at legal@weered.ca with:

• A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
• The location of the infringing material on Weered
• Your contact information
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

We will respond to valid takedown requests and may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

Weered is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for any User Content, including content shared via video chat or screen sharing. Use of the platform is at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Weered Technologies, its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the platform, User Content shared by others (including via video or screen sharing), or third-party integrations. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100 CAD, whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Weered Technologies and its founders, employees, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the platform, your User Content, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability) will survive.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Weered shall be resolved in the courts of Nova Scotia, Canada.
